# About Bright Peaklet

Bright Peaklet is a small set of free tools for making decisions: a weighted decision matrix, an Eisenhower matrix for tasks, a weighted pros and cons list, pairwise ranking and a cost-benefit table. They are meant for everyday choices at home and at work, from which laptop to buy to which project to start first.

## How it works

Everything runs in your browser. There are no accounts and no server: what you type is saved in your browser's local storage so it is still there next time, and it never leaves your device. Each tool can export what you made, as CSV or plain text, and print it.

## The methods

- **Decision matrix:** the weighted sum of scores, with a sensitivity check that solves for the smallest single weight change that changes the winner.
- **Pairwise ranking:** every pair compared once in round-robin order, ranked by wins with half points for ties (Copeland's method).
- **Cost-benefit:** discounting with amount ÷ (1 + r)t, net present value, benefit-cost ratio, discounted payback and internal rate of return.

## Limits

These tools organise your own judgement; they do not make the decision for you, and the numbers are only as good as the scores and estimates you put in. The cost-benefit table is for **educational use only and is not financial advice**; for decisions with large sums or tax and legal consequences, talk to a qualified adviser.
